Anyone who knows me personally knows how important my family is to me. Not only my own immediate family, but also my extended family means the world!
The past few weekends, we had the honor of spending some good, quality time with my mom and dad, sisters, nephews & in-laws.
During these past two weekends we did a little bit of everything. We celebrated my nephew’s birthday at Chuck-E-Cheese, watched movies, spent time watching my youngest son play basketball, went shopping, colored Easter eggs, enjoyed Easter Mass and dinner, and let’s not forget – one of the all-time favorites – just sat around the kitchen table and enjoyed conversation. Wow…and I wonder why I didn’t have much time to jump on Twitter!
Unfortunately, however, we don’t all live in the same town. So when we do get together, we’re sure to enjoy the times we have with each other.
Our family will continue to expand…the boys are all growing up, and they will soon start branching off creating families of their own. In fact, I was extremely honored this week – my nephew’s fiancé asked me to help plan their destination wedding in the Bahamas! Exciting stuff! The addition of our first niece to the family, AND a tropical vacation all in the same week! Whew hew! Fun times ahead for the Mondragon family (my maiden name in case you’re wondering.)
Have a great week!

Wow!!! Very nice, family is so very important. You just never know when something will happen and everything will change forever. This week one of my very best friends, Susan McNew lost her father. She was so very close to him, like I am with dad and it has been so hard on her…He died in his sleep, very sad and unexpected. Keep her in your prayers. Thanks Mitch!! I love you!!!! Have a good week…. Val

Great post Michelle.. and so true. I have 4 children and live where I grew up and where most extended family still live. One of my sons now lives about 5 hours away but still comes home often. We have the privilege of celebrating most birthdays and special events with each other and I sure appreciate that!
Thanks for sharing your family events with us.. and continue to treasure the times spent with them!
