I was not in NY. I meant I watched in on TV. Even in Kansas City, though, a lot of people left work that day or did not even come in.

How awful, Ray…so you were right in the center of it all. I can’t even imagine. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, and I totally agree with your comment, “It’s a sad commentary on what happens when anger rules the human mind. It’s a reason for all of us to do better – be better.” Michelle

Great post, Michelle

I was on my way to work when the first plane struck. Was listening to NPR, as I recall. They thought there had been accident. Continued to work and shortly after arriving, the second plane came.

My wife had taken the day off and called me crying. So I left work and went home – as so many other people did – and watched the events of that day unfold.

A tragic day to be sure. One we will never forget to be sure. It’s a sad commentary on what happens when anger rules the human mind. It’s a reason for all of us to do better – be better.
